Obituary for Alberta Brandiburg

On a beautiful sunny day around noon time, I made my entrance into this world. I was a beautiful baby. (Yes I “said beautiful”) ; she was the fourth child born to the late Fred and Lillian Clark Chase, Sr. in Simonton, Texas. They named her Alberta.

Education: Alberta received her education from the following schools; Simonton Elementary, Simonton, Texas, North Side Junior High, Richmond, Texas, A.W. Jackson, Rosenburg, Texas, Kashmere Gardens High School, Houston, Texas, San Jacinto College, Pasadena, Texas, St. Mary Universituy, San Antonio, Texas where she received her CDM and CFPP certification a dietitian.

Marriage: On August 2, 1968 Alberta married Elbert Oliver Junior and to this union they were blessed with three children; Charles Ray, Elbert III and Patrick Lynn Oliver. They were also blessed with two daughters, Cassandra Dee Chase and Debra Ann Oilver. They were” his, mine and ours”.
In June of 1985 Alberta married Marshall Brandiburg. They remain married until God called her home.

Work History: Alberta work started as a food servicer in 1985 at Arby’s in Katy, Texas by her good friend and sister (Faye Dickerson) who called her to go and fill out an application at Arby’s. They were both hired as food servicers. Alberta worked from 1985-1995 as “General Manager for Abry’s at Town and Country. From 1995 to 2014 she worked as a “Food Service Health Care to the following health care facilities; Brookshire Nursing Home, Brookshire, Texas, Columbus Health Care, Columbus, Texas, Dominican Sisters, and for Brazos View Health.
She enjoyed being a food servicer , she would say “ food servicer was my hobby”.

Church: Alberta was baptized at a early age. She was a member at West Mt. Oliver Baptist Church Fulshear, Texas. Alberta moved her membership to Zion Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend Donnie Johnson, Sr., in Fulshear, Texas. She served as a Sunday School teacher for many years and was a member of the ladies mission.

Family: Alberta enjoyed being with her family, cooking sea food, traveling to Boston Massachusetts, watching her soap opera, “Have and Have Nots”, game show, “Jeopandy”. ( She was addictite to playing games on her phone) and listening to gospel music.

Deceased: Alberta is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Lillian Chase, Sr., one son, Patrick Oliver, one daughter, Cassandra Jumper, two brothers, Wilbert Chase, Jimmy Mitchell and three sisters,
Ora Mae Henry, Evangelee Addison and Diane Hillsman.

Precious Memories remember by: her husband of 33 years, Marshall Brandiburg, two sons, Charles (Demetria) Oliver, Pearland, Texas, Elbert Oliver, Simonton, Texas, three brothers, Bobby Chase, James L. Chase, Freddie Don Chase, two sisters, Barbara ( Joel) Cockrell, Karen Chase, 15 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends that will truly miss her beautiful spirited.
