Obituary for William "Bill" Bryan Rhoades

William Bryan Rhoades was born February 28, 1940 in Stockdale, Texas to the late Hubert and Mildred Rhoades. He grew up in the Seguin/Nixon area.

William who was known as Bill attended and graduated from the Highlands High School. He played basketball in school and afterward he played semi pro football in San Antonio, Texas.

Bill met the love of his life, Bertie Louellen Mansfield in high school. In April, 1961 they became husband and wife. To this union, they were blessed with two daughters, Pamela Jean Rhoades and Deborah Ann Foyt.

Bill was a professional commercial bus driver for over forty years. He drove for several different bus companies but the last job was for the Gray Hound Bus Company. He worked there until he retired.

He loved horses and he trained cutting horses and was part of the Mounted Posse. Bill loved watching Fox News, the Astros, and going to Tonys and eating enchiladas. He enjoyed listening to country music and one of his favorite songs was kiss the angel good morning by Charlie Pride

Bill is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Bertie Rhoades.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his daughters, Pamela Jean Rhoades and Deborah Ann Foyt, one sister, four grandchildren; Courtney Sodalak, Jamie Rooker, Jessica Rooker and Justin Foyt; six great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
